Given, the height of the prism is 3 m and the base measures 30 cm×40 cm.

We know that 100 cm=1 m

1 cm=1100 m

30 cm=30100 m=0.3 m

Similarly,

40 cm=40100 m=0.4 m
Now, total surface area of the prism
=area of rectangular face (A+B+C+D+E+F)

=3×0.3+3×0.3+3×0.4+3×0.4+0.4×0.3+0.4×0.3

=4.44 sq m
