The base of a rectangular prism measures 50 centimeters × 60 centimeters and it’s height is 2 meter. How much water (in liters) can be stored in the prism?

The correct option is D 600 L
Length of the base of the prism =50 cm
Width of the base of the prism =60 cm
Therefore, area of the base of the prism =50×60=3000 sq cm.

Height of the prism =2 m=2×100=200 cm
Therefore, the volume of the prism = area of the base × height =3000×200=600,000 cu cm

Now, 1 cu cm=0.001 L
600,000 cu cm=600,000×0.001=600 L

Thus, 600 L of water can be stored in the prism.
