The base of a triangular field is three times its height. If the cost of cultivating the field at Rs.$36.72$ per hectare is Rs.$495.72$, find the base and height.

Area of the field
$=\frac{Rs.495.72P}{Rs.36.72P}$ hectares
$=\frac{27}{2}$ hectares
Area of the field$=\frac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height$
$=\frac{1}{2}\times 3h\times h(h$ being the height)
$=\frac{3h^2}{2}$
$\therefore \frac{3h^2}{2}=\frac{27}{2}$ hectares
$=\frac{27}{2}\times 10000m^2$
$\therefore h=300m$
Base $=3h=900m$
