As per compressive stress criteria

Hmax=fyw(ScC+1)

Given, Sc=2.65,C=0.8,f=2800 kN/m2

Hmax=28009.81(2.650.8+1)

=100.15 m

As per base width criteria

Hmax=BScC

=302.650.8=40.8 m

Hence allowable height of dam = 40.8 m = 40 m
