Solution

The correct option is B Protein and phospholipid
Plasma membrane is mainly composed of a bilayer of phospholipids with proteins embedded in it. The phosphate head of the phospholipids is polar while the fatty acid tail are non-polar. The membrane proteins are of two types they are intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic proteins are those proteins which are tightly bounded inside the membrane. while extrinsic proteins are temporarily attached either to the bilayer of lipid or to integral proteins by a combination of hydrophobic, electrostatic, and other non-covalent interactions.
