To get the total number of boys or girls being interviewed, we need to add their respective count of liking for each sport.

(i) The red bar is representing the number of boys.

Number of boys whos favourite sport is Soccer = 3
Number of boys whos favourite sport is Softball = 2
Number of boys whos favourite sport is Basketball = 5
Number of boys whos favourite sport is Other = 2

(ii) Similarly, the number of girls interviewed for this survey:
= 3 + 2 + 5 + 2 = 12.
