The Big Bang Theory was proposed by
Georges Lemaitre
In the year 1931, a Belgian priest by the name Georges Lemaitre proposed the Big Bang Theory. According to this theory, the Universe started from an unimaginably tiny dot, which began expanding due to its immense heat and density, following a massive blast known as the “big bang”. It is believed that the Universe cooled down after this blast, and the stars and the galaxies of today’s Universe were gradually formed.
