Question

The birth rate in five countries over a period of time is shown below :

Represent the data by bar graph and tell which country has the least birth rate?

To draw the bar graph we will first take the X-axis to write the names of countries and the Y-axis to plot the values of birth rate. Then we will choose the scale to be used while plotting values along the Y-axis. Here along Y-axis we will take ten small divisions equal to 5000 birth rate. On putting all the values we will get the required graph as shown below.

From the above graph, it is clear that the height of the rectangular bar corresponding to Japan is minimum in height, So Japan has the least birth rate.
