Open in App
Solution

Number of books sold on day 1 = 2300 + 45
= 2345

Number of books sold on day 2 = 2800 + 30
= 2830

Number of books sold on day 3 = 2750 + 40
= 2790

All the numbers have 2 in the thousands place.

So, we have to look at the digit in the hundreds place.
2830 has 8 in the hundreds place.
2345 has 3 in the hundreds place.
2790 has 7 in the hundreds place.

Therefore, 2830 > 2790 > 2345

Since 2830 books were sold on day 2, maximum number of books got sold on that day, i.e., day 2.
