Question

The brain itself cannot feel the pain because the brain does not have pain receptors. Then how do you feel the pain when someone hits you on your head?

Solution

Brain has no pain receptors. But brain is surrounded by fluid, cerebrospinal fluid, and over it we have skull. The skull is then covered by a tissue layer, followed by layers of skin.

These layers of skin contain pain receptors. They are the reason why we feel pain. Also, brain has pressure receptors, though pain receptors are absent. So if someone hits you hard on head, cerebrospinal fluid has a sudden jerk, and this pressure will make you unconscious , or it will trigger strong headache.
