The breadth and length of a rectangle drawn on paper are in the ratio 5 : 6. When the rectangle is constructed in reality ,it is 30 times the one drawn on paper.

If the length of the real rectangle is 720 cm, then find the perimeter of the rectangle which is on paper.

The correct option is C

88 cm


Ratio between length and breadth = 6 : 5

Length = 6x and Breadth = 5x

Real rectangle is 30 times the one on paper.

So, Length of Rectangle on paper = 72030 = 24 cm = 6x

x = 4

Breadth of the rectangle = 5x = 5 × 4 = 20 cm

Perimeter of the rectangle on paper = 2( l + b ) = 2 (24 + 20) = 2(44) = 88 cm
