Let breadth = $x$

then length = $50 - x$

Given that area = 600 sq m

$x (50 - x) = 600$

$50 x - x^{2} = 600$

$x^{2} - 50 x = - 600$

$x^{2} - 50 x + 625 = - 600 + 625$

$(x - 25)^{2} = 25$

$(x - 25) = 5$
