The breadth of a room is twice its height, one half of its length and the volume of the room is 512 dm3. Find its dimensions

Let breadth of a room (b)=x

Then height (h)=x2

and length (l)=2x

Now, Volume of the room =length×breadth×height=2x×x×x2=x3

Volume of the room is given as 512 dm3.

x3=512

x3=83

x=8

Length =2x=2×8=16 dm

Breadth =x=8 dm

and height =x2=82=4 dm
