Solution

The correct option is A with disfavour
Kathak is derived from the Sanskrit word 'katha' meaning 'story'. Kathaks were a caste of story tellers in temples. Eventually it became a distinct dance style. This development happened during the rule of the Mughals. But the British viewed this art form with disfavour. In spite of this, Kathak survived and is one of the six 'classical' forms of dance in the country.
