On passing electricity through acidic water, O2 and H+ ions are formed. As O2 ions are negatively charged, they get attracted towards the electrode connected to positive terminal of the battery. After this, it loses electrons to the positive terminal and become oxygen gas molecules.
Hence, bubbles of oxygen gas are formed at the positive electrode.
