The correct option is A 11 : 16
As the bus fare increases by $10 %$ , the new bus fare is
$= R s . (3 x + \frac{3 x .10}{100}) = R s . \frac{33 x}{10}$
And the train fare increases by $20 %$ , the new fare is
$= R s . (4 x + \frac{4 x .20}{100}) = R s . \frac{24 x}{5}$
Hence the new ratio of bus and train fares
$= \frac{33 x}{10} : \frac{24 x}{5} = 33 : 48 = 11 : 16.$
