The Castner's process is the process used for extraction of sodium in molten state.
The Castner process is a process for manufacturing sodium metal by electrolysis of molten sodium hydroxide at approximately $330^{o} C$ . At cathode, sodium get deposited and oxygen is liberated at anode electrode.
