1. Cyton or cell body - it includes cytoplasm, nucleus, and Nissl's granules which are formed by a group of ribosomes and endoplasmic reticulum.
2. Dendrons - short branched projections which help in nerve impulse transmission towards the cell body. They terminate in dendrites.
3. Axon- is a long cylindrical structure that starts from the axon hillock with the terminal swollen structure called synaptic knob.
