Area of each square	= 14 × 14
	= 196 cm2

Area of shaded part	= 3 × Area of each square
	= 3 × 196
	= 588 cm2

Perimeter of shaded part	=	4 × Quarter of the circumference of the circle + 4 × Side of square
	=	4 × $\frac{1}{4}$ × 2 × $\frac{22}{7}$ × 14 + 4 × 14
	=	88 + 56
	=	144 cm
