Solution
The correct option is B24 Equivalent capacitance of top right branch in which 1μF and 5μF are in parallel will be
C′eq=5+1=6μF
Since, 4μF and 6μF are in series, so effective capacitance of these two capacitors will be
Ceq=4μF×6μF4μF+6μF=2.4μF
And voltage across the 2.4μF capacitor will be 10V. So charge Q on 2.4μF will be
Q=CeqV=2.4μF×10V=24μC
Here, whatever charge this equivalent capacitance will have, the same charge will be across the 4μF capacitor as well as the equivalent of 1μF and 5μF which is 6μF.
