Solution

The correct options are
A pleura
B pleural fluid
The lungs are separated from the chest wall by two membranes called pleura. The outermost membrane is called the parietal pleura, and is attached to the chest wall. The innermost membrane is called the visceral pleura, and is attached to the outer surface of the lungs.
Both pleura secrete a serous fluid called pleural fluid. The pleural fluid fills the space in between both pleura, called the pleural cavity. This fluid ensures that the pleura are well lubricated and reduce friction.
