Solution
The correct option is A Grana
Chloroplasts are the green-colored plastids present in the plants and other protists such as Algae.
The Green color of Chloroplast is due to the presence of chlorophyll pigments a and b which helps in photosynthesis.
They are double membraned cell organelles with intermembrane space and have a disc-shaped structure called 'Thylakoids'. The group of thylakoids stacks to form Grana.
Based on the endosymbiosis theory, the algae such as Red algae and the Cyanobacteria(blue-green algae) have no grana i.e., the thylakoids are unstacked and single.
Therefore, the algal chloroplasts usually lack Grana.
