The circumference of a circle is 22 cm. Find the area of its quadrant. [CBSE 2012]

Let the radius of the circle be r.
​Now,
Circumference=222πr=22r=22×744=72 cm
Now, Area of quadrant = 14πr2=14×227×722=778 cm2
Hence, the area of the quadrant of the circle is 778 cm2.
