Given,
circumference of the circle=31.4cm

Let, the radius be r

2πr=31.4
r=31.42×π
r=31.42×3.14
r=5

So, the radius r=5 cm
Now, Area of circle =πr2
=3.14×(5)2 cm2
=3.14×25 cm2
=78.5 cm2

Hence, the area of the circle is 78.5 cm2.
