The circumference of a circle is 31.4cm. Find the radius and area of the circle.[Take pi=3.14]

As we know that circumference of the circle is given as-

Circumference $=2\pi r$

Given:-

Circumference of the circle $=31.4cm$

$\therefore 2\pi r=31.4$

$\Rightarrow 2\times 3.14\times r=31.4$

$\Rightarrow r=5cm$

Now again as we know that the area of the circle is given as-

Area $=\pi r^2$

$\Rightarrow$ Area $=3.14\times {\left(25\right)}^2=78.5{cm}^2$

Hence the radius and area of the circle is $5cm$ amd $78.5{cm}^2$ respectively.
