The
co-ordinate of a point is the perpendicular distance of the point from the y axis.
The x-coordinate of a point is the perpendicular distance of the point from the y axis. For example, (5,9). The two numbers in parentheses are the x and y coordinate of the point. The first number (5) specifies the distance of the point from y axis. The second is the (9) coordinate and specifies the distance of the point from x axis.
