The correct option is A (2,1)
We know if a point divides the line segment AB joining two points A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2) in given ratio m:n internally, then by section formula, the cordinates of a point are given as
=(mx2+nx1m+n,my2+ny1m+n)


Since the points (1,2) and (4,7) divides internally in the ratio

1:2, then the coordinates of the point can be determined as follows:

(x,y)=(1×4+2×11+2,1×7+2×21+2)=(4+23,743)=(63,33)=(2,1)
