(i)
$$\begin{gathered} x\mathit{}=7\mathrm{and}y=10 \\ \mathrm{Coordinate}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{P}=7 \\ \mathrm{Coordinate}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{Q}=10 \\ \mathrm{As}10>7,\mathrm{d}(\mathrm{P},\mathrm{Q})=10-7=3 \end{gathered}$$

(ii)
$$\begin{gathered} x\mathit{}=-2\mathrm{and}y=11 \\ \mathrm{Coordinate}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{P}=-2 \\ \mathrm{Coordinate}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{Q}=11 \\ \mathrm{As}11>-2,\mathrm{d}(\mathrm{P},\mathrm{Q})=11-(-2)=13 \end{gathered}$$

(iii)
