Change in temperature, ΔT=30C
We know that, due to thermal expansion, density as a function of temperature is given by, ρ=ρ0(1+γΔT)
ρ(1+γΔT)=ρ0
ρρ0=ργΔT
ρρ0ρ×100=γΔT×100
=5×104×30×100=1.5%
The negative sign indicates that the density decreases with increase in temperature.
