4^th term of the arithmetic sequence = 7

Common difference = −1

To get the 7^th term from the 4^th term, we must add the common difference three times to the 4^th term.

∴ 7^th term = 7 + 3(−1) = 7 − 3 = 4

To get the 11^th term from the 4^th term, we must add the common difference seven times to the 4^th term.

∴ 11^th term = 7 + 7(−1) = 7 − 7 = 0
