Transpiration is physiological evaporation of water. Hence, high humidity and low wind velocity will result in low transpiration because under these conditions evaporation will be less. Environmental conditions like low humidity and high-temperature favor evaporation of water and hence, transpiration will be maximum. When guard cells are turgid stomatal pore is open and transpiration is favored. Plants with adequate soil moisture will normally transpire at high rates than usual because the soil provides the water to move through the plant.
