The connective tissues in the human body include several types of fibrous tissues that differ in density and cellularity. These are specialized into bone, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, and adipose tissues.
Adipose tissues are further of two types- white adipose tissue and brown adipose tissue. The brown adipose tissue or Brown fat is found in mammals and especially abundant in new borns and hibernating mammals. The primary function of this tissue is to generate body heat when the body temperature goes below the regular threshold.
