The constituent assembly was a representative body of India, as it comprised of native members from all the states. Though the bigger states had a higher number of members, none of the state irrespective of size, were left out without a representation. Special emphasis was placed on Sikhs and Muslims so that they would also get ideal representation in the constituent assembly.
