The correct option is B 31 : 74
Let the first mixture be A.
Then Awater:milk=1:2, &
Let the second mixture be B.
Then Bwater:milk=2:5.
So in A the amount of milk=21+2part=23part
and in B the amount of milk=52+5part=57part.
Similarly, in A the amount of water=11+2part=13part
and in B the amount of water=22+5part=27part.
Now, in the new mixture A:B=1:4.
So the quantity of mixture A=1×A=1×23 part milk==23part milk and
1×13patrt water=13part of water.
Similarly, the quantity of mixture B=4×B=4×57 part milk==207part milk and
4×27 part water=87part of water.
Then the total quantity of milk in the new mixture=23+47part
=7421part .
Again the total quantity of water in the new mixture=13+87part
=3121part .
So, in the new mixture,
water : milk=3121:7421=31 : 74.
