  2. Ethene has the chemical formula C2H4.

Dehydration:

  1. The conversion of Ethanol into Ethane generally requires concentrated Sulphuric acid H2SO4 .
  2. It is an example of dehydration as hydrogen molecule is removed from Ethanol.
  3. Ethanol is heated with concentrated Sulphuric acid to form Ethene and water.
