Find the coordinates of A.

Open in App
Solution

Given:
Coordinates = (m+6,m4) ....(i)
Since, the point A lies on x-axis.
Coordinates of point A = (x,0) ...(ii)
Comparing equation (i) with equation (ii) we get,
(m4) = 0
m = 4
Again, putting the value of m equal to 4 in (m+6) we get,
(m+6) = (4+6)
= 10
Therefore, coordinates of A are (10,0).
