Solution

For a given parabola, y² = 18x.
Let P be any point on parabola,
i.e. P has co-ordinate (t, 3t)
∴ (3t)² = 18t
i.e. 9t² = 18t
i.e. t(t − 2) = 0
Since t = 0 is not possible
⇒ t = 2
i.e. co-ordinate of P are (2, 6)
