The correct option is A Fats < Glucose < Organic acid
In the case of respiratory quotient, the more the amount of CO2 eliminated and lesser the amount of O2 consumed, more will be its value. In the case of fats it is generally the opposite and thus, have very less value (less than 1) for R.Q. Whereas hexose sugars like glucose have R.Q. = 1, because the volume of CO2 and volume of O2 stays the same. Organic acids will have their R.Q. values more than 1, because of the elimination of more CO2 molecules than the consumption of Oxygen molecules.
So, the correct answer is option D.
