The cost of an article was ₹15,500. ₹450 were spent on its repairs. If it is sold for a profit of 15%, find the selling price of the article. ​

Cost of the article = ₹15,500
Amount spent on repairs = ₹450
Actual cost price of the article = ₹15,500 + ₹450 = ₹15,950
[1 mark]

Profit = 15%
Profit = 15100× 15950
= ₹2392.50
[1 mark]

Selling price = Actual cost price + profit
= ₹15,950 + ₹2392.50
= ₹18342.50
[1 mark]
