Total cost = Rs 6000
Rate = Rs 50 per metre

∴ Length of the carpet $=\frac{6000}{50}=120\mathrm{m}$

Width of the carpet = 75 cm = 0.75 m
​Area of the carpet $=120\times 0.75=90{\mathrm{m}}^2$
We know that area of the carpet is equal to the area of the room.
Thus, we have:
Length of the room = 15 m
Width$=\frac{\mathrm{Area}}{\mathrm{Length}}=\frac{90}{15}=6\mathrm{m}$
