Cost of 1 kg of mango = Rs $\left(189÷5\frac{1}{4}\right)$
= Rs $\left(189÷\frac{21}{4}\right)$
= Rs $\left(189\times \frac{4}{21}\right)$ [∵ Reciprocal of $\frac{21}{4}$ = $\frac{4}{21}$]
= Rs (9 $\times$ 4) = Rs 36

Hence, the mangoes are being sold at Rs 36 per kg.
