Solution

The cost price of 12 mangoes is
equal to the selling price of 15
mangoes. Find the loss percent?
Let say cost price of 12 Mangoes
are x.RS. and selling price of
15 mangoes is x. RS (which x>0>)
Let say we have total 60 Mangoes.
So, the cost price will be =60×x12
C.P = 5x. Rs
& the selling Price will be =60×x15
S.P = 4x.Rs
Now, S.PC.P=4x5x
=x<0
So, S.P.<C.P
We loss by x Rs
So, Loss Percent =lossvaluecostprice×100%
=x5x×100%
Loss Present = 20%
