Given,
The critical angle for reflection from glass is Cg=42

The critical angle of reflection for waterCw=48

Now the refractive index of glass can be given as

μg=1sinCg=1sin(42)=1.5

Similarly, the refractive index of water is given as

μw=1sinCw=1sin(48)=1.34

Hence the refractive index of glass with respect to water is

μ=μgμw=1.51.34=1.119

Now the critical angle of glass with respect to water is given as

μ=1sinCsinC=1μ

C=sin1(11.119)=633
