The curved surface of a cylinder is 176 $c{m}^2$ its base area is $38.5c{m}^2$. find the volume of the cylinder.

Volume of cyclinder =$\pi r^2\times h$ Area of base=area of circle = $\pi r^{2}38.5=\frac{22}{7}{r}^2\frac{38.5\times 7}{22}=r^2\frac{269.5}{22}=r^{2}12.25=r^2$ or, $r=3.5cm$ C.S.A of cylinder = $2\pi rh176=2\times \frac{22}{7}\times 3.5\times h176\times \frac{7}{2}\times 22\times 3.5=h$ or, h=8 Volume of cylinder =$\pi r^{2}h=\frac{22}{7}\times (3.5{)}^{\times }8=308c{m}^3$.
