Solution

Solution:

There are 5 notes of ₹20 and one note of ₹500.
Amount of money given back as ₹ 500 notes = 3 x 500 = ₹1500
Amount of money given back as ₹ 200 notes = 1 x 200 = ₹ 200.
Total amount of money returned by the shopkeeper
= ₹1500 + ₹200 = ₹ 1700
Amount paid by the customer = 6000 - 1700 = ₹ 4300
