Let the masses of proton and alpha particles are mp and mα respectively. Then, mα=4mp
The de-Broglie wavelength of proton is given by,
λp=λ=hp=hmpv

And, λα=h(4mp)(v2)=h2mpv
=12(hmpv)=λp2=λ2
