(ii) Multiply and divide the number by 1 followed by n zeros, where n is the number of digits after the decimal.

In 0.238 there are 3 digits after the decimal. So, we multiply and divide it by 1000 to get the required fraction.

$0.238\times \frac{1000}{1000}=\frac{238}{1000}$

Finally, converting the obtained fraction in its lowest form by dividing numerator and denominator by their HCF.
