The correct option is D 18.5th
The current through the galvanometer is given by

i1=RsRs+Rgi where Rs=resistance of shunt and Rg=resistance of galvanometer

In the first case:-

I1=33+Rgi=i4

Rg=9Ω

Now, when an extra of 2Ω is shunted means the parallel combination of 2Ω and 3Ω will be the Rs

Rs=2×32+3=1.2Ω

i1=1.21.2+9i=1.210.2i

i1=18.5i

Hence, the answer is option-(D).
