The factor theorem states that if there is a polynomial of degree greater than or equal to one and ‘a’ be a real number. If P(a) = 0 then (x–a) is the factor of the polynomial P(x).
If p(x) is a polynomial of degree greater than 0. Then remainder of p(x)(x−a) is p(a)
When a polynomial of degree greater than 1, denoted by P(x), is divided by (x-a), the remainder is P(a)
