Solution

Let the numerator of a fraction be x.

Denominator of the fraction =x+3

The fraction =xx+3

If 5 is added to both parts, it will become as 45.

x+5x+3+5=45

x+5x+8=45

5x+25=4x+32

5x4x=3225

x=7.

Therefore, the fraction is xx+3=77+3=710

Hence, the required fraction is 710.
